Policies And Procedures For Rip N Sew

 

1. These Policies and Procedures are in addition to the Bylaws for Rip N Sew. If there is a conflict between these Policies and the Bylaws, the Bylaws shall prevail.

2. The annual dues are payable beginning Oct 1 of the previous year and are delinquent after January 31 of the following year. If dues are not paid by that date, membership will lapse and the individual is not eligible to re-join until the following year.

3. The Club Board shall give general supervision of the affairs of the club between its monthly business meetings; fix the hour and location of the general membership and Club Board meetings and make recommendations to the club.

4. The Club’s annual meeting will be held in October for nomination of upcoming year’s officers. Per the Bylaws a vote may be held at this meeting if there is a quorum or it may be held by electronic methods approved by the Recreation Center.

5. The Club Board shall appoint a nominating committee of at least two (2) members prior to the October election. Additional nominations from the floor shall be requested and accepted with the approval of the person nominated.

6. As stated in the Bylaws, renewal of membership will require current members to have monitored a minimum of four times in the calendar year. Those who fail to monitor four times during the calendar year may not renew or join as a new member for a minimum of one year. The Club Co-Presidents have the power to provide an exemption for personal health problems. Requests for exemption should be sent to the to Co-Presidents.
