We celebrated a room refresh that included new cabinet faces, wall paint, and LED lighting for a fresh new look.
Summer Survivor Beach Party
Summer Survivor Beach Party was a great success!!! Many thanks to the committee of Joan Hardy, Eva Weisberg, Karen Everett, and all of those helping hands for setting up a super party atmosphere.
The decorations were fresh and fun. We appreciate all the preparation that goes into producing these social events. Thanks again to everyone involved in the setup and also thanks to all those participants who braved the 100 plus temps for a social event.
Spring Social Luncheon
1940s was the theme for the Spring Social. The committee created centerpieces with paper dolls wearing fashions of the times. Dresses, jewelry, photos, and other items from the time period were on display.
Many thanks for a lovely Spring Luncheon go to Denise Bryan (chair), Judy Griesemer and Marsha Smith.
Marsha Smith donated a lovely red and white quilt that was raffled off. Helen Grant was the lucky raffle winner.
Yee ha! The first Rip N Sew Sewing Rodeo was held on May 20, 2022. Sewists matched their skills on timed events that included machine threading, button stitching, and straight line sewing.
Winners were given medals and can enjoy bragging rights until the Fall Rodeo coming in November.
2022 Holiday Fun Party
On January 5th nearly 100 members gathered at the Palm Ridge Rec Center for club’s holiday party. A short business meeting welcomed the new board members and thanked the outgoing co-presidents.
The tables were decorated with folded paper stars and bundles of fabric fat quarters. After the delicious bar-b-que, each table played a game to award the fat quarters to a lucky winner. There were plenty of door prizes generously donated by local merchants and our members, so no one left empty handed.
